Swedish Massage

This is the manipulation of soft tissue and application of varying degrees of pressure to the body. The use of cream, oil or gel helps reduce friction, acts as an emollient and generates warmth due to stimulating circulation.

Swedish Massage + Hot Rock

This is the same as a Swedish massage, but with the addition of Hot Stone treatment to the back and neck. The duration of the massage stays the same.

Reflexology (FOOT MASSAGE)

Now here is something for everyone. The hands and feet are given special attention. Points on the soles and palms correspond to locations on the rest of the body. The whole body can be treated through the manipulation of these points.

What a wonderful thing…All you have to do is take off your shoes and socks, then lie back and enjoy the ride. In this day of rushing, you can still treat the body just by pampering your hands and feet.

Remember: you are on your feet all day. They take a lot of punishment. Give them the break they deserve.

Hot Stones

Special basalt stones that hold heat very well are smoothed down and heated up in a crock pot. These stones are used because they hold heat longer and make it easier to work on the body. They can be employed in conjunction with any of a variety of massage techniques.

The texture of the stones and the heat they impart to the body offer a unique massage experience. The stones can be used on the body as the medium of massage, placed on a towel on the body or placed beneath the client. The technique depends on the desired effect.

Deep Tissue Massage

This treatment is similar to the Swedish technique, but we go deeper into the tissues, as the name implies. You will experience kneading, vibrating, cupping, the pressing of “trigger points,” and the stretching of soft tissue to create change. Toxins are released into the bloodstream and from there are eliminated. The production of serotonin, a “feel good” chemical, is stimulated. The ultimate feeling is relief times from pain, deep tension and stress. Many clients will feel euphoric, almost giddy.

Individuals who are very stressed physically and emotionally will request this work. The use of special oils, creams and even hot stones enhances the treatment.

Deep Tissue + Hot Rocks

This is the same as a deep tissue treatment, but with the addition of Hot Stone treatment to the back and neck. The duration of the massage stays the same.
